چکیده

This research evaluated the protective effect of vitamin A (VA) on adverse fish oil (FO) substitution with palm (PO) in an economical crab Eriocheir sinensis. Three diets FO, PO, and PO + 8000 IU / kg VA as main lipid sources were fed to crabs, respectively, for 8 weeks. Compared crabs FO diet, PO diet showed reduced hemolymph concentration, feed utilization efficiency, growth performance. Besides, elevated content hepatopancreas body triglyceride hepatopancreas, leading decreased antioxidant enzyme immune parameters activities from biochemical analysis, enzymatic determination, quantitative polymerase chain reaction. In contrast, compared only, supplementation improved performance fatty acids deposition hepatopancreas. addition, suppressed gene expression related synthesis (dgat1) positively affected catabolism (cpt1a, cpt1b, cpt2, caat). Furthermore, upregulated genes (CuZnSOD CAT) through downregulating upstream regulator Keap1. (Lzm proPO) proinflammatory (LITAF, ADAM17, IL-16) Toll2/MyD88/Relish signaling pathway. study shows necessity addition totally replaced by because it can relieve PO’s effects improve crabs.

Effect of temperature stress on the survival of juvenile Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis)

Eriocheir sinensis, which is an important aquaculture species, belongs to the class Crustacea. To discuss the temperature tolerance of E. sinensis, the survival rates of juvenile crabs of E. sinensis were determined in this paper using a series of temperature settings (normal temperature, 25°C, 30°C, 32°C, 34°C, 35°C, 36°C, 38°C, 40 °C). The results indicated that except the normal temperature ...

Draft genome of the Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis

BACKGROUND The Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis, is one of the most studied and economically important crustaceans in China. Its transition from a swimming to a crawling method of movement during early development, anadromous migration during growth, and catadromous migration during breeding have been attractive features for research. However, knowledge of the underlying molecular mechan...

Performance and Economic Feasibility of Using Soybean Oil, Palm Oil and Fish Oil in Broiler Diet

Six hundred day old unsexed broiler chicks were used in a 35-day trial to compare the effects of soybean oil, palm oil and fish oil supplementation on the performance of broilers in terms of feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion. The chicks were randomly distributed following a completely randomized design in four groups having three replications per treatment. Each treatment had 150 bir...

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Sex-Biased Gene Expression in Juvenile Chinese Mitten Crab Eriocheir sinensis

Sex-biased genes are considered to account for most of phenotypic differences between males and females. In order to explore the sex-biased gene expression in crab, we performed the whole-body transcriptome analysis in male and female juveniles of the Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis using next-generation sequencing technology. Of the 23,349 annotated unigenes, 148 were identified as sex-...

Selenium Accumulation, Antioxidant Enzyme Levels, and Amino Acids Composition in Chinese Mitten Crab (Eriocheir sinensis) Fed Selenium-Biofortified Corn

The effects of selenium (Se)-biofortified corn on the total Se contents, the antioxidant enzyme levels, and the amino acids composition in Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis) during the stage of the fifth shelling to maturity were investigated in the present study. The culture density of crabs was 600 per 667 m², and they were continuously fed 120.4 mg Se from Se-biofortified corn per 667 ...
